FilmDistrict has just bought the rights to handle U.S. distribution for Paul W.S. Anderson’s upcoming disaster film ‘Pompeii‘, and have set a release date for February 28, 2014. The film centers on an enslaved gladiator who falls in love with his master’s daughter on the eve of a volcanic eruption. Kit Harrington, Emily Browning, Kiefer Sutherland, and Jared Harris star in the film. Summit Entertainment is handling international distribution.
