Jim Carrey has signed on for the lead role in Summit Entertainment’s comedy ‘Ricky Stanicky‘. The script tells the story of three friends who have used the fake name Ricky Stanicky to get themselves out of all their tough situations in life, but when their wives and girlfriends demand to meet Ricky, the friends must hire an out of work actor to portray him. Carrey will play the out of work actor. Director Steve Oedekerk is working on a rewrite with Jeff Bushell, and Michael De Luca and John Jacobs are producing. Carrey can next be seen in the upcoming sequel ‘Kick-Ass 2′.
