Warner Bros. went on a serious pitch buying spree this week. In addition to ROME, SWEET ROME (which we just wrote about here), the studio picked up two others of note, both reported by Deadline.
Yesterday, Team Downey partnered with Electus to set up THE ACCIDENTAL GENIUS, an Adam Gibgot thriller pitch with what sounds like PHENOMENON undertones.
Today, the studio picked up another thriller pitch, this time an untitled project from TRANCE writer Joe Ahearne. Dan Lin’s Lin Pictures will produce.
The three pitch sales to Warner Bros. this week takes their total to 10 for the year (by our count). Keep an eye out for our Pitch Sale Scorecard next week - subscribers to The Scoggins Report will get it first.
