Stuart Beattie to write I, FRANKENSTEIN

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN and AUSTRALIA writer Stuart Beattie is set to write and direct I, FRANKENSTEIN for Lakeshore.  The film is based on the graphic novel by Kevin Grevioux.

Spec sale: SAVAGES, by Oliver Stone and Shane Salerno

Oliver Stone acquired the rights to Don Winslow's SAVAGES last March, and has sold the project to Universal.  Shane Salerno and Stone wrote the most recent draft of the script.  Stone's Ixtlan will produce.

Russell Crowe in talks for THE BOYS

Russell Crowe has been in discussions with director Adam McKay regarding a role in the comic book adaptation THE BOYS, which Columbia Pictures has in development along with Original Film and Kickstart

According to previous public statements by McKay, Simon Pegg would play Hughie and - in this possible incarnation of the film - co-star opposite Crowe's Billy Butcher.    

McKay is currently working on a draft of the script.
