Russell Crowe has been in discussions with director Adam McKay regarding a role in the comic book adaptation THE BOYS, which Columbia Pictures has in development along with Original Film and Kickstart.
According to previous public statements by McKay, Simon Pegg would play Hughie and - in this possible incarnation of the film - co-star opposite Crowe's Billy Butcher.
McKay is currently working on a draft of the script.
