Johnny Depp will further immortalize the genius behind such gems as THE CAT IN THE HAT, HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS, THE LORAX, and (personal favorite time) MARVIN K. MOONEY WILL YOU PLEASE GO NOW. The actor is producing a biopic about Dr. Seuss, and will potentially star as the man, the myth, and legend himself. The project is set up at Illumination, and while it will be primarily live action, there may be animated and CG elements.

Who says dogs don’t have a favorite hangout? They do, and it’s the POOCH CAFE. Kelly Asbury of GNOMEO AND JULIET fame will adapt the acclaimed comic strip for Sony Pictures Animation.
THE ADVENTURES OF CHARLES FORT GETS A WRITER
Robert Zemeckis‘ ImageMovers‘ adaptation of the Dark Horse comic about Charles Fort, the researcher who specialized in “anomalous phenomena” found itself a writer. Evan Spiliotopoulos will write the script.
