In a whopping seven figure deal, 20th Century Fox has acquired the rights to Gone Girl, a thriller novel by Gillian Flynn about a husband who becomes the prime suspect when his wife goes missing on their 5th anniversary. Academy Award-winning actress Reese Witherspoon will be producing the project through her Pacific Standard banner alongside Bruna Papandrea and Leslie Dixon.
