In whopping seven-figure deal, Universal Pictures has acquired Breathe Deeply, an upcoming non-fiction novel by Susan Spencer-Wendel and Bret Witter. Spencel-Windel, who has recently been diagnosed with a nerve-destroying ailment known as ALS, intends on taking advantage of her condition to write “a book about living.” Having begun to feel the effects of ALS already, Spencer-Windel is in a race against time to leave behind a document of a well-lived life.
