Candice Bergen comes from a showbiz family and now she plans to let everyone know about her father Edgar Bergen and his famous ventriloquist act. The film will be an adaptation of the memoir ‘Knock Wood’, which tells how Edgar Bergen rose to fame largely because of his charcter Charlie McCarthy, who often overshadowed him. The film is actually supposed to be through the point of view of Charlie McCarthy. Bergen is producing the project with James Francis Trezza and Pam Widener.
