Universal has hired John Stevenson to direct their upcoming animated musical ‘Noah’s Ark’, based on the biblical story. The film will tell the familiar tale through the viewpoint of Gilbert, a meerkat who leads a ragtag group of animals to the Ark. Stevenson’s past experience in animation includes directing ‘Kung Fu Panda‘. He will be joined on the project by Cameron Hood who will co-direct. Unified Pictures is producing.
