ATTACHMENT - Directing: Andrew Stanton returns to Pixar for “Finding Nemo” sequel

Following his stint on the notoriously unsuccessful John Carter, director Andrew Stanton is returning to his roots after signing on to direct Finding Nemo 2, the sequel to the 2003 classic that garnered Stanton his first Academy Award. The announcement is a bit of a downer for many Pixar fans who are known to praise the iconic animation production company for sticking to original work. While the Toy Story franchise is an obvious exception to the rule — no one can seem to agree on which of the three entries is the best — Pixar saw significant disapproval with the unnecessary Cars 2 production. Finding Nemo 2 is being eyed for a 2016 release.
