Spec sale: Recoil, by John Sullivan

John Sullivan's action screenplay Recoil sold to Nasser Entertainment and Caliber Media.  The spec originally went out in October from Mike Esola at WME and Jake Wagner at Film Engine.  A director and star are attached.

Dave McNary, Pamela McClintock (Variety): Paramount buys fashion pitch from Emily Meyer and Amy Andelson

We'll have this on the grid shortly if it's not there already…

Paramount has its eye on world of fashion, snapping up an untitled pitch from Emily Meyer and Amy Andelson and setting it up with Adam Shankman and Jennifer Gibgot of Offspring Entertainment.

Logline's being kept under wraps other than that it revolves around a Cinderella-type character in the fashion world. Matt Smith of Offspring will exec produce.

Kevin Lehane's horror/comedy screeplay, Grabbers, originally out in February, sold to a number of independent producers — Samson Films, Bear Rock Films, and High Treason Productions.   The spec script was originally out from Circle of Confusion.  The project has a director and cast attached.
