Cross Creek Pictures optioned feature film rights for the dramatic thriller, ‘Bent Road.’ Lori Roy penned the source material, a 2012 novel of the same name, and Mark Mallouk will write the script for film adaptation. Chris Bender and J.C. Spink will produce through their production banner, Benderspink. The flick tells the tale of a man who leaves his home in Kansas as a boy after the death of his sister, which was under unusual circumstances. Twenty years later, he returns to the town when another girl goes missing.
