Vendome Pictures will produce and finance ‘El Bulli’ about renowned Catalan-Spanish chef Ferran Adrià. The script for the film, written by David Wilson, is based on Lisa Abend’s book ‘The Sorcerer’s Apprentice: A Season in the Kitchen at Ferran Andrià’s elBulli’ and centers on the final year of Adrià’s restaurant El Bulli, which closed in July 2011. Vendome CEO Philippe Rousselet will produce, along with Jeff Kleeman and John Lesher. The producers are currently searching for a director and have plans to begin filming this year.
