Lionsgate‘s Codeblack Films has acquired the rights to the documentary ‘Free Angela and All Political Prisoners’ about Angela Davis’ life and how she became a revolutionary and ended up on the FBI’s 10 Most Wanted list. The film, directed by Shola Lynch, premiered at the Toronto Film Festival last year and was produced by Will Smith and James Lassiter‘s Overbrook Entertainment. The film will be released in select theaters on April 5, 2013.
