There’s not too much a shift in the tracking numbers since we posted on Tuesday, so we figured we’d let the current numbers speak for themselves. We are seeing the first numbers for January 27, though, so we’ll break those down for you.
Audiences aren’t really connecting with THE GREY, a drama about an oil drilling team struggling in the Alaskan wild. There’s 31% definite interest, and it’s the first choice for 2% of older audiences, 3% of younger men, and not tracking with younger women. The thriller MAN ON A LEDGE is doing worse, though, with awareness only at 44% (surprising, because we’ve seen a ton of advertising), definite interest at 25%, and first choice at 1% for older audiences, 3% for younger men, and 2% for younger women. ONE FOR THE MONEY, the bounty hunter action comedy based on Janet Evanovich’s novel, is even a rung lower – awareness at 34%, definite interest at 25%, and first choice at 1% for older audiences, 2% for younger women, and not tracking at all for younger men.
Guess this January is a “stay home and keep warm” kind of month (unless you’re in SoCal, in which case it’s a “screw the movies, lay on the beach” sort of a month).
