Entertainment One has acquired the U.S. rights to Jim Mickle’s ‘We Are What We Are‘. The horror thriller, which premiered at Sundance this year, is a re-imagining of the 2010 Mexican film by the same name, which centers around a family struggling to keep their macabre traditions alive. Mickle also penned the script, along with Nick Damici. The film stars Bill Sage, Ambyr Childers, and Julia Garner. Rodrigo Bellot, Andrew D. Corkin, Linda Moran, Nicholas Shumaker, and Jack Turner produced. The film will be released later this year.
