Nicolas Winding Refn will direct the Denzel Washington-starrer, ‘The Equalizer.’ The action-adventure-drama project centers on a veteran covert operative who, seeking redemption for his dark deeds, quits a CIA-like agency and puts an advertisement in the paper that reads simply: “Got a problem? Odds against you? Call the Equalizer.” The flick is based on a 1980s TV show. Russell Crowe is also attached to star, with Paul Haggis set to pen the script.
