Gabriella Wilde, Saoirse Ronan and Alicia Vikander are all in talks to star opposite Cate Blanchett, who is in talks for the evil stepmother role. Chris Weitz will pen the script for helmer Mark Romanek. The modern retelling of the tale will follow the prince. He is set for a politically arranged marriage until the he meets Cinderella.
