Kieran Fitzgerald is wrapping up a deal to write the script for ‘The Day Britain Stopped‘, inspired by the BBC dramatic mockumentary about a rail strike, traffic congestion, and mid-air plane collision that bring the UK’s transportation system to a halt. The film is being developed as a potential directing vehicle for Ridley Scott. Steven Zaillian and Garrett Basch are producing through Film Rites, along with Michael Schaefer, Elishia Holmes, and Scott through Scott Free Productions. Kira Goldberg will oversee for Fox.
