Will Gluck, director of ‘Friends with Benefits‘ and ‘Easy A‘, is in talks to direct a remake of ‘Annie’, which follows an orphan girl who is given the chance of life outside the orphanage when she is chosen to stay with a billionaire. If the deal goes through, Gluck will also rewrite the script. Willow Smith, who was previously attached to star in the film as Annie, will no longer be involved. Will Smith, Jay-Z, and James Lassiter will produce through Overbrook Entertainment.
