Shane Acker, nominated for an Oscar in 2005 for his short ’9′, will direct an adaptation of the comic series ‘Beasts of Burden‘. The series chronicles a group of animals that function as protectors for a town stricken with paranormal events. Darren Lemke will write the script, with Aaron Warner, Mike Richardson, and Andrew Adamson producing.
